Welcome to our school
"Our School values and vision:"
I am delighted to write a few words of introduction to welcome you to Wroxall Primary School. Wroxall Primary was built in 1987 as a small village primary school with a capacity of 90 children. Since this time it has expanded considerably. We are currently at a very exciting point of our journey. Having recently de-federated from two other Isle of Wight schools, we have a substantial building project underway to expand the school’s provision and create a modern and spacious learning environment for our children. Once the building work is complete, we will have 7 new classrooms, a larger school hall, a purpose-built food tech room and an exciting outside learning area.
At Wroxall we have three simple rules: 'Be Ready, Respectful and Safe'. We support our children to follow these rules in all they do, both within the school environment and beyond. At Wroxall our CARE values (Challenge, Achievement, Resilience and Enjoyment) are at the heart of all learning experiences. We offer an education focused on the whole child – academic, social and emotional. We feel that these core values are the golden thread running through our school and are imperative as we support our children to aim high and strive to be the very best version of themselves. Throughout their time at Wroxall, we endeavour to provide all of our children with memorable experiences that will enrich their lives and develop their confidence as they grow into life-long learners.
I am proud to lead a team of self-reflective and highly evaluative staff who relish challenges and prioritise the needs of children at the centre of all they do. In this small, caring school, your child will be celebrated as an individual, whilst joining a strong community of parents, children, staff and governors, whose joint aim is to provide the highest possible standard of education.
We hope that this website will help you find out what goes on at the heart of our very special school. The best way to learn more is to come in and talk to us, look around the school, and see for yourself what we have to offer.
We very much look forward to meeting you.
